Fresh out of Mad Professor’s corner is the Loud’n Proud. This “amp-in-the-box” pedal is designed to reproduce the classic drive tones of a vintage four-input Marshall amp – the tool that shaped the sounds of AC/DC, Cream, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Free, Yngwie Malmsteen, and more.

The Loud’n Proud houses a complete amp signal path, including preamp and power amp stages (with phase inverters), a push-pull stage, and output transformer simulation. So not only does it sound like an amp, it behaves like one too.

The pedal is voiced for moderate gain, but you can engage its Boost or Fuzz presets for more bite. Boost injects a 13dB pre-boost into the mix, while Fuzz is designed to work like vintage germanium fuzz. Toggle between the pair via a dedicated switch, then tap on the boost/fuzz footswitch to engage the effect.

The pedal also features a character switch that toggles between two voicing presets: one with tighter bass and a slightly compressed tone, and the other with looser bass but more dynamics.

Apart from that, there’s a three-band EQ, along with gain, volume, presence, fuzz volume, and tone knobs to sculpt those vintage rock sounds.
