Mojotone has unveiled their latest in-house pickup, the Premium Historic Limited ’59 P.A.F. Humbucker Set. This new pickup set is a recreation of the famous Gibson P.A.F. humbucker of the late 50s.

The Premium Historic Limited ’59 P.A.F. Humbucker is the result of a series of extended analyses of several late-50s P.A.F.s. The Mojotone humbuckers utilise the same vintage-correct components and appointments, including the coils that are hand-wound to the precise layering and mismatching of vintage P.A.F.s.

The neck humbucker is wound to 7.1k ohm while the bridge variant clocks in at 8.2k ohm. Both pickups use field-charged rough cast alnico 2 magnets and unpotted coils. Other vintage-correct specifications include the off-white butyrate bobbins, 42AWG plain enamel wire, two-strand eternal braided leads, 49.2mm spacing and slotted mounting screws and springs.

The Premium Historic Limited ’59 P.A.F. Humbucker ships in a Lifton-style solid pine box with 50s pink case liner, and is sold exclusively on Reverb.com.

The Mojotone Premium Historic Limited ’59 P.A.F. Humbucker set is now available for $249.95 (per pair). For more information, click here.
