Allen Stone recently appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live to give a soulful performance of his song Brown Eyed Lover. You can take a look above.
The song features Allen’s soulful voice, accompanied by some laid-back yet groovy rhythm playing from Stone’s guitarist. About halfway through the performance, Stone abandons his guitar, ending the song on a podium in the middle of the crowd.
Brown Eyed Lover is taken from Stone’s LP Building Balance, which was released in November this year. The record showcases his adeptness for blending retro soul and R&B influences together with more contemporary pop and neo-soul.
