Guitarist Ariel Posen has announced a UK tour, beginning at the end of this month in Hartlepool and ending on 10 February – in Bristol. After this, Ariel will embark on a tour of Sweden, and one more date in his native Canada.

Posen was born in Winnipeg, Canada, but spent much of his childhood on the road with his touring musician parents. He began playing guitar at 9 years old – launching a career that included a stint in Juno award-winning roots-rock band The Bros. Landreth. Posen recently released his first full-length solo album, How Long, and saw Hudson Electronics launch the Broadcast AP – his signature version of its Broadcast preamp pedal. The pedal is based on the same vintage-mixing-desk-styled distortion sound as the original, but with a clearer and thicker low-end character.

Check out our chat with Ariel here, where he discusses the secrets of his slide technique, and his signature Mule Resophonic guitar.
