There’s nothing better to cure the long wait at baggage claim than a surprise show from sad-girl super group Boygenius.

Austin-Bergstrom International Airport received the honour of being the latest venue to be graced by the trio, as they prepare to visit Austin’s South By Southwest music conference and festival.

The group, comprised of Phoebe Bridgers, Lucy Dacus and Julien Baker, performed an acoustic set of new material from their upcoming album, including singles True Blue, Emily I’m Sorry and Not Strong Enough.

You can catch a glimpse of their performance that was captured by the airport’s social media team below:

Boygenius formed in 2018, and are releasing their debut album The Record later this month on Interscope.

As for the rest of the week, South By Southwest is expected to deliver more iconic performances. Lil Yachty (presented by Doritos) will kick off today (16 March) with opening acts Lola Brooke and Armani White. While tomorrow (17 March) will see perfomances from Latin stars Feid and Eladio Carrión (presented by Samsung Galaxy). Finally, on Saturday (18 March), electronic giants Kaskade and deadmau5 will perform as Kx5.

Each show will take place at Moody Amphitheater at Waterloo Park in Austin.

Tickets are still available for some performances via Ticketmaster.com.
