Bright Eyes have chosen to delay their highly anticipated reunion tour, due to the ongoing global covid-19 pandemic.

Due to kick off on May 14 in Spokane, Washington, Conor Oberst and co. have instead decided to cancel all of their upcoming May gigs, alongside three June dates. Refunds will be available to ticket holders at the original point of purchase. However, the band were able to reschedule three dates for late July, whilst also adding two additional gigs, with as yet undetermined dates. Original tickets will be valid at the rescheduled dates.

Posting directly to their Instagram page, Bright Eyes wrote: “An update on our US tour dates. Thank you for your patience. Regretfully, yet predictably, we have had to re-think many of our upcoming tour dates. We hope to be in a better position to gather and celebrate at a later date.”

Bright Eyes announced their return back in January, quickly following that announcement with news of a new recording contract with Dead Oceans, and their first album since 2011. The band has shared two new songs, Forced Convalescence and Persona Non Grata.
