Bright Eyes have shared One And Done, the third single taken from their forthcoming reunion album – which is set to be released under Dead Oceans later on this year. Take a listen above.
One And Done follows Forced Convalescence and Persona Non Grata as the first new music to arrive from Bright Eyes since their 2011 LP, The Peoples’ Key.
The band had surprised fans with the end of their nine year hiatus, announcing a new studio album, as well as plans for an extensive world tour. The reunion tour however –which would have kicked off 23 March in Tokyo, Japan – was downsized to a series of US-only shows in 2021, following the escalation of COVID-19 to pandemic levels. The first of next year’s shows is to take place at the Palladium in Worcester, Massachusetts on 30 July.
Bright Eyes – among numerous other artists – have had to reassess their plans to tour amid the global COVID-19 pandemic. The unforeseeable future of in-person events – such as festivals, trade shows and concerts – has even prompted events giant Live Nation Entertainment to begin experimenting with drive-in shows and reduced capacity festivals.
