Bright Eyes have returned from a nine year hiatus with a new song, Persona Non Grata. This marks the band’s first release since 2011’s The People’s Key.

Persona Non Grata” is Latin for “an unwelcome person”. The haunting tune is also the band’s first to feature bagpipes. In an accompanying handwritten statement, the band confirm that more music is set to arrive this year, assuring fans that they “will be releasing a new album this year no matter what”. Thus far, many other bands have cancelled their American tours, including the likes of Foo Fighters, Metallica, Tool and many others.
