Carlos Santana has announced the return of his greatest hits residency in Las Vegas, which was suspended due to pandemic restrictions.

Following the start of Las Vegas’ reopening last month, it’s been announced that An Intimate Evening with Santana: Greatest Hits Live will return starting 25 August. Tickets will go on sale this Friday (30 April) at 10 AM local time.

Despite the planned return for 2021 for this particular performance, the Santana band’s tour with Earth, Wind And Fire, initially announced in 2019 and planned for 2020, has now been delayed until 2022.

Writing in a statement, the musicians shared: “We the Santana Band regret to inform you that we won’t be able to present the Miraculous Supernatural Tour in 2021. We look forward to bringing you the sounds of Light and Love next year. Thankfully, we are all getting through this together and we are all stronger and wiser. We wish you GODSPEED.”

Santana’s last album, Africa Speaks, was released on 7 June 2019. It featured “a unique fusion of rock, Latin and jazz” inspired by its titular continent, and was produced by Rick Rubin, and featured collaborators Buika and Laura Mvula on vocals.
