Cigarettes After Sex have released a new single – their first new music this year – entitled You’re All I Want. Take a listen above.
The single’s release was accompanied by a brief post from the band, made over Instagram. It read: “You’re All I Want out everywhere now. love you always…” See the full post below.
The Texas-based quartet have been known for their ethereal, atmospheric sound – encapsulated in their two studio records: 2019’s Cry and their eponymous debut album from 2017.
Whether You’re All I Want will be part of a forthcoming LP is still unclear at this point. However, a post announcing the single (on 26 May) was accompanied by an image similar to the band’s cover art style. It showed the band’s logo superimposed onto a photo of an inflamed flower. See the full post below.
Earlier this year, the band had planned to embark on a European tour, kicking off at the O2 Arena in London on 23 March. But, in light of COVID-19, they’ve instead postponed the tour to begin 30 June at the Fabrik in Hamburg, Germany. See the full Facebook announcement with all the rescheduled dates here.
Partisan Records – the Brooklyn/London based label that issued Cigarettes After Sex’s two prior LPs – will also release the forthcoming record from rock band IDLES; its first single, Mr. Motivator, was released earlier this month.
