Clapton to hold Ginger Baker tribute concert in London

It will center around the music both composed during their time in Cream and Blind Faith

Eric Clapton is set to honour the late Ginger Baker with a curated show at London’s Hammersmith Apollo on February 17, 2020. All proceeds will benefit Leonard Cheshire, a charity close to the Baker family.

Clapton and Baker last played together during Cream’s brief reunion in 2005 where they played four shows at the Royal Albert Hall and three at Madison Square Garden.

Ginger Baker died on October 6. “Dad passed away peacefully,” his daughter, Nettie Baker, said in a statement. “He was in no pain and had recently been able to see and speak to his children, close family and special friends.”
