Corey Taylor is auctioning off 13 guitars off his personal collection, raising funds for Direct Relief’s COVID-19 response actions. The auction – which is held on eBay – will close on 7 May, at 7pm (ET).

The auction sees Taylor part with several autographed electric, acoustic and bass guitars. These include a Gibson DG-335 Dave Grohl Signature Custom Shop in Pearl Blue (one of just 200 ever produced), a custom ‘Firebird-style’ Kauer electric guitar, a triple-humbucker Gibson Les Paul in Sunburst, a Fender acoustic guitar, and an Ibanez SDGR Bass in black. Each instrument will be supplied with its own case – as well as a supporting certificate of authenticity.

Additionally, eBay has said that they will be supplementing the total donation amount with a matched contribution of up to $1 million to Direct Relief’s COVID-19 response fund – which provides frontline workers across the US with emergency medical supplies.

Earlier this year, Slipknot announced that they would be postponing this year’s Knotfest event, which was to take place in Japan’s Chiba prefecture. The event has since been rescheduled for 20-21 January of next year, featuring performances by Marilyn Manson, Korn, and Maximum The Hormone.
