Courtney Barnett has appeared on the home-recorded edition of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon to perform a stripped-back, acoustic version of her song Sunday Roast, taken from her record Tell Me How You Really Feel. Take a look below.

It’s not Barnett’s first appearance on Fallon, having appeared in 2018 performing Nameless, Faceless, in 2016 with a cover of The Grateful Dead’s Speedway Boogie, in 2015 performing Pedestrian At Best and 2014 performing Avant Gardener. The new performance is, however, her first time on The Late Show since it has moved to its ‘At Home’ format.

She and fellow Milk! Records artist Evelyn Ida Morris are also currently working on a soundtrack for the upcoming documentary film Brazen Hussies, centred on the Women’s Liberation movement in Australia. It is being crowdfunded in post-production, and has reached 40.2% of its goal of $232,910.

Barnett also recently teamed up with Anna Calvi for a new version of Calvi’s song Don’t Beat The Girl Out Of My Boy, as part of Calvi’s project Hunted, which reworked the tracklist of her LP Hunter along with several collaborators.
