Duff McKagan has shared a live video of Don’t Look Behind You, a single off his recently released solo record Tenderness.
Filmed in L.A.’s El Rey Theater, the gorgeously shot clip features the Guns N’ Roses bassist slinging an acoustic guitar as he bewitched the sold-out audience with the rock ‘n’ roll ballad. He was joined on stage by Shooter Jennings’ backing band, with whom McKagan collaborated on his album, which dropped in May this year.
In our interview with McKagan, the musician said Tenderness was the result of his time spent working as a columnist and writer.
“I used to think, ‘What the fuck am I gonna write about next?” So I’d say this record is more of an observation, it’s not putting the blame on anyone, but I do realise there’s a great divide that’s not as bad as the media depicts it,” he told Guitar.com.
McKagan will embark on a tour of Europe later this month, with dates planned for Berlin, London, Paris and Milan. Find the details here.
