Eddie Vedder will debut two new songs at online benefit gig

The event will benefit the Epidermolysis Bullosa Research Partnership.

Eddie Vedder and Jill Vedder have announced a virtual charity event which will feature a star-studded lineup, and raise money and awareness for sufferers of Epidermolysis Bullosa, a rare skin disease.

The event, entitled Venture Into Cures, will feature performances and information on EB from names such as Chris Hemsworth, Billie Eilish, Judd Apatow, Bradley Cooper, Laura Dern, Adam Sandler and Willie Nelson. The hour-long show will also play host to the Pearl Jam frontman debuting two new solo songs: one called Matter Of Time, and a new version of his song Say Hi. the event has been put together with the Epidermolysis Bullosa Research Partnership (EBRP).

Jill Vedder said of the event: “Ed and I are incredibly grateful to everyone joining us for Venture Into Cures. Every day kids with EB and their families face astonishing challenges. This event will give people a glimpse into their world. EBRP’s mission is to find a cure for EB, and this event will help bring us one step closer to making that mission a reality by adding momentum to the work being done.”

Michael Hund, CEO of EBRP, added: “Our team is dedicated to accelerating life-saving treatments for patients and families battling EB, and Venture Into Cures offers us the opportunity to involve more people in our mission than ever before. Together, we will heal EB, and in the process, pioneer an innovative model for all rare diseases.”
