Eddie Vedder recently joined Californian funk-rock legends The Red Hot Chili Peppers on stage for a couple of covers: Prince’s Purple Rain and Bob Dylan’s All Along the Watchtower. The performance took place at the Silverlake Conservatory of Music’s annual fundraising concert. You can watch the full performance above, where both The Red Hot Chili Peppers and Eddie Vedder perform sets. They then join each other on stage for the two songs in the encore.

The Silverlake Conservatory of Music is a non-profit music school founded by Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea in 2001.

It’s not the first time Vedder has joined a band for a surprise set, having recently appeared with The Strokes to perform Hard to Imagine and Juicebox.
