Elvis Costello has given an acoustic performance of (What’s So Funny ‘Bout) Peace, Love And Understanding from his Vancouver house.

The stream was the first filmed for Artists4NHS, a charity raising funds for the UK National Health Service as it combats the pandemic. Writing below the video, the organisation noted that Costello has spent the last two weeks in self-isolation in his home.

The stream also features Costello discussing the pandemic, as well as conducting a fan Q&A. He talked about the various ways in which people can help, and urged people to follow the appropriate advice, saying: “You can look on social media to find out how you might contribute. Pretty much anything you do that adds to the solution rather than adds to the problem is the right thing to do, as you know. You don’t need me to tell you that.”
