Eric Clapton’s Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano F1 has been put up for sale for £89,900, available for anyone to buy. This comes in stark contrast to recent sales of rockstar-related memorabilia, almost exclusively auctions, such as Jimi Hendrix’s rare pre-Experience Japanese sunburst guitar, or Elvis’ Sun Sessions Martin Acoustic.

We all have different ways of dealing with lockdown, like making your way through a detailed guide on how to play country guitar, making a DIY speaker cabinet or just baking some sourdough. But Clapton has apparently been passing the time by selling off his supercars – his Lamborghini Superleggera has already been sold for a rumoured £125,000, whilst the Ferrari is still on sale from car dealer GVE London via AutoTrader.

In a press release, AutoTrader noted the irony of Slowhand showing “a fixation on supercars” – Clapton is rumoured to have had more than ten Ferraris over the years, with many of them apparently inspiring songs, and one of them gifted to him by fellow guitarist. George Harrison.

Unlike any of Clapton’s Stratocasters, Telecasters or his ‘Beano’ Les Paul, the car features front and rear parking sensors, a six-CD changer, fully electric seats, four wheels and an engine. Take a look at the listing here.
