Fender has released footage of the American Ultra Jazzmaster jam that took place at this year’s winter NAMM, featuring guitarists Gina Gleason and Mateus Asato. Take a look above.

Gina Gleason has been playing guitar in progressive metal band Baroness since 2017, when guitarist Peter Adams amicably left the band to focus on family. She played on the band’s recent album Gold and Grey.

Mateus Asato, meanwhile, is proof of the power of Instagram – from posting videos of his playing, he’s gained a worldwide following. Take a look at his page here.

The release follows the Stratocaster Jam’s release last month, which saw guitarists Ari O’Neal, Ayla Tesler-Mabe and Mark Lettieri going for it on a trio of the new American Ultra Stratocasters.

In our review of the American Ultra Jazzmaster, we noted that the guitar retains the off-beat character of its roots, but certain changes add a premium sheen to the model – such as the extra control space freed up by moving the jack to the side of the body, and the deeper cutaway for easier upper fret access.
