Five guitar tracks to rock out to this week
Including songs by Tom Morello and Beck.
Feel like you’ve missed out on the week’s biggest releases? No worries, we’ve got you covered with a list of the best and latest guitar tracks. Here are five that you have to hear:
Can’t Stop the Bleeding by Tom Morello, Gary Clark Jr. and Gramatik
Tom Morello joined forces with Gary Clark Jr. and EDM producer Gramatik for Can’t Stop the Bleeding, a genre-bending journey that was inspired by Jimi Hendrix and the Irish poet W. B. Yeats.
Delicacy by Omni
Post-punk group Omni recently dropped two songs, Delicacy and I Don’t Dance, to mark their signing to Sub Pop Records. These tracks will tide fans over before the release of their next full-length on the seminal label.
Saw Lightning by Beck and Pharrell
For Saw Lightning, the first single off his forthcoming album Hyperspace, Beck enlisted superproducer Pharrell. The track marries the former’s slide guitar and harmonica with the latter’s crisp drums and percussion.
In the End by The Cranberries
The Cranberries will take a bow later this month with In the End, their final album and the last record that the late Dolores O’Riordan worked on. The pensive, pared-down title track arrived earlier this week.
No Expectations by Kurt Vile
Kurt Vile recently dropped a cover of the Rolling Stones’ No Expectations as a Spotify Single. He came up with its arrangement, he said on Twitter, when he was in his early 20’s.
