Five guitar tracks to rock out to this week

Including songs by Russian Circles and Sheryl Crow.

Feel like you’ve missed out on the week’s biggest releases? No worries, we’ve got you covered with a list of the best and latest guitar tracks. Here are five that you have to hear:

1Arluck by Russian Circles

Come August, Chicago post-metal trio Russian Circles will return with a new seven-track album, Blood Year. Leading the way is the powerful single, Arluck.

2Who You Are by Mannequin Pussy

Philadelphia punk rock outfit Mannequin Pussy continue to tease their sophomore album, Patience, with the single Who You Are. Tender lyricism combines with melodic guitar rock, and the result is an empowering love song.

3The Colour Of Poison by Earth

Dylan Carlson’s “favourite song off [Earth’s new album Full Upon Her Burning Lips] at the moment” is a groovy take on drone and stoner rock – fans of Black Sabbath will dig this. Read our full interview with Dylan here.

4Cold Hope by Pelican

Heavy instrumental veterans Pelican are back next month with a new album, Nighttime Stories. Get a taste of the record with the seven-minute crusher, Cold Hope.

5Live Wire by Sheryl Crow, Bonnie Raitt and Mavis Staples
