Watch: Foo Fighters invite wheelchair-bound fan on stage to smash guitar
Heartwarming moment took place during the Foos Sziget festival set.
Foo Fighters’ frontman Dave Grohl made a fan’s night by inviting him on stage to smash a guitar.
The rockers were just about to close out their Sziget festival set with Everlong when Grohl spotted the wheelchair-bound fan crowd-surfing near the front of the stage. Fan-shot footage captured Grohl interacting with him and announcing to the audience: “Ladies and gentlemen, I would like to say, even to the guy in the fucking wheelchair, he’s the fucking star of the show right there – that’s the fucking star of the show.”
The Foos frontman then invited him up on stage to watch the performance of Everlong from up close. Once the song ended, the fan was brought out to centre-stage and handed a guitar to destroy – which he promptly did to raucous applause from the Budapest crowd.
