Feel like you’ve missed out on the week’s biggest releases? No worries, we’ve got you covered with a list of the best and latest guitar tracks. Here are four that you have to hear:

Worthy by Palehound

Boston-based band Palehound will release their new album, Black Friday, in June. It will feature Worthy, on which frontwoman Ellen Kempner sings about insecurities and body image.

Man On Fire by Sam Cohen

With its bluesy guitar licks and sauntering pace, Sam Cohen’s new single, Man On Fire, is a deceptively smooth meditation on the destruction humanity wreaks upon the planet. The song bodes well for his forthcoming album, The Future’s Still Ringing In My Ears, which was co-produced by Danger Mouse.

Mercedes Marxist by IDLES

IDLES have released a new song, Mercedes Marxist, pulled from the sessions for their acclaimed 2018 album, Joy As An Act Of Resistance. Frontman Joe Talbot wrote the song when his “life balance was way off”, he explained on Instagram. “This song reflects just how useless I felt. It was me at my worst and without any buoyancy it became catharsis.”

Balisong by Phantom Planet

Phantom Planet have dropped their comeback single, Balisong, after more than a decade away. The band first rose to prominence with the song California, which became the theme song of hit television show The O.C.
