Guitar music had a few moments at the 61st Grammy Awards, what with St Vincent’s thrilling collaboration with Dua Lipa and Red Hot Chili Peppers’ performance with Post Malone. Beyond the hustle and bustle of music’s biggest night, however, new song releases continued to pour in. Here are four new guitar tracks you should know about:

Paralyzed by Dream Theater

The release of Dream Theater’s new album, Distance Over Time, is imminent. While you await its arrival on 22 February, take in the latest single, Paralyzed.

Last Chance County by Filthy Friends

REM’s Peter Buck and Sleater-Kinney’s Corin Tucker lead the supergroup Filthy Friends, who released their well-received debut full-length, Invitation, two years ago. Now, their sophomore album Emerald Valley’s on the way, led by the single Last Chance County.

Citadel by Inter Arma

Inter Arma have announced Sulphur English, their third studio album in a career that’s spanned 13 years. The Virginia metal quintet have released their first single, Citadel, which vocalist Mike Paparo has described as a “clarion call to myself about overcoming depression and the demons that manifest with it.”

Shut Up & Kiss Me by Whitesnake

“I’m full of hot burnin’ desire,” David Coverdale yelps on Whitesnake’s brand-new single, Shut Up & Kiss Me. It’s one of the 13 songs on the English veterans’ forthcoming album, Flesh & Blood, out in May.
