Following its 2020 edition being cancelled, Fuji Rock Festival has announced that it will be streaming classic sets from past festivals.
The festival was due to take place between 21-23 August, but like many other festivals was cancelled due to coronavirus. It is, however, set to return in 2021. The live streams will take place over the same weekend that the festival was meant to.
The stream’s lineup includes sets from Beastie Boys, Oasis, Radiohead, Coldplay, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Beck, The Chemical Brothers, Foo Fighters and The Stone Roses. The full lineup of bands can be seen in the announcement post below:
The sets will be streamed over on the festival’s YouTube channel, with each programme to be streamed once in the evening and then again in the morning of the following day. Viewers will be able to make donations during the program using YouTube’s Superchat function, and proceeds from the program will be donated to Music Cross Aid and Medecins sans Frontieres.
