Gilmore Guitars has announced the Bobby G, a premium single-cut aimed to appeal to blues, rock and metal players.

The guitar’s semi-hollow construction features a Monkeypod body and neck, the latter being topped with a Madagascar Ebony fretboard. This runs at a compound radius, a dramatic shift from 7,25 inches to 14 inches, while the back of the neck sports a symmetrical C profile. Other appointments include a camel bone nut, Pearloid binding and a thin nitro finish.

In terms of electronics, the Bobby G is fitted with two mini-humbuckers, controlled by a three-way switch on the top horn and master volume and tone knobs.

There’s a choice of either a vintage-style tremolo or a hardtail bridge, but in either case, Gotoh locking tuners should keep tuning stable.

Take a look at the brand’s demo video below to hear the guitar in action.

The model’s base price is $3,500. Find out more at gilmoreguitars.com.
