Graham Nash on ongoing CSNY tensions: “We don’t talk to David”
A CSNY reunion tour isn’t looking likely.

Graham Nash and David Crosby have spoken about the ongoing tensions that exist between the members of Crosby, Stills, Nash And Young. Nash has also spoken about his expectations and desires when it comes to reforming the supergroup, and how he thinks the interpersonal tensions would make that difficult.
In a set of new interviews with CBS This Morning, Crosby, Nash And Stills were being asked (separately) about the recording of the legendary 1969 album Déjà Vu. Nash was asked if the four band members still get on following the famously tense recording sessions, and the various other falling-outs that have happened since. “Stephen [Stills] and Neil [Young] and I are great,” Nash said. “We talk often.”
However, he added succinctly that: “We don’t talk to David.”
He went on to discuss the difficulties of reforming a group that’s broken up on bad terms: “You know, when that silver thread that connects a band gets broken, it’s very difficult to glue the ends together. It doesn’t quite work. And so, things that happened to me in David’s life broke that silver thread, and for the life of me, I can’t put it back together.”
When asked if he wished he could repair the relationship, Nash said: “Yes, I do. I do wish I could, only because of the loss of the music.”
Crosby was also asked about the interpersonal relationships of the group. He responded: “I don’t expect to be friends with Graham at any point. Neil hates my guts. I said bad stuff about his girlfriend.”
In 2014, Crosby called Neil Young’s girlfriend Daryl Hannah a “purely poisonous predator.” He would later apologise for his words. Asked by CBS This Morning if he regrets saying what he said, Crosby responded: “Yeah, sure.”
