Green Day have released a surprise new EP titled Otis Big Guitar Mix, a six-string-focused set of three remixes of tracks from the bands’ 2012 triple-album series ¡Uno!, ¡Dos! and ¡Tré!.

According to a statement about the release the new tracks “‘showcase big guitar in a way these tracks have never been heard before”. The songs in question are Lazy Bones, Wild One and Oh Love.

Take a listen to the new EP below:

The EP follows from the band’s latest LP, Father of All Motherfuckers. It also comes shortly after frontman Billie Joe Armstrong’s appearance on a charity live stream hosted by Elton John, where he gave a home acoustic performance of Boulevard of Broken Dreams. The stream was raising money for Feeding America, a food bank organisation organising a response fund to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
