Guns N’ Roses have uploaded a selection of songs from their performance at 2018’s Download Festival, as part of the band’s Not In This Lifetimes Selects series of uploads. Take a look above.

The series focuses on highlights from past sets, this time picking their cover of Velvet Revolver’s Slither, Rocket Queen, You Could Be Mine, Attitude and Sweet Child O’ Mine, totalling around 30 minutes – quite a small selection, given their headline set totalled 28 songs. The lineup for the headline set was was the classic Guns N’ Roses outfit of Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan, alongside Dizzy Reed, Richard Fortus, Frank Ferrer and Melissa Reese. The core lineup reunited in 2016.

Since the launch of the current line-up, speculation on when new music from Guns N’ Roses could arrive have been widely discussed. In his interview with Guitar.com, Slash revealed that although “stuff is happening”, it might be a while before the material sees the light of day – a situation ascribed to “the nature of the industry right now.”

The previous Not On This Lifetime Select focused on their 2019 show from Salt Lake City, Utah.

The series comes in lieu of the band’s 2020 tour, which like many others, was cancelled due to coronavirus. They were due to play two arena shows in the UK, with a second being added due to high demand.
