Hawkwind were joined on stage by legendary guitarist Eric Clapton as they wrapped up their 50th anniversary tour. You can watch a video of the performance of The Watcher above.

The Watcher isn’t new territory for Clapton, as he featured on the new orchestral version of the song found on 2018’s Road to Utopia. Clapton and Hawkwind guitarist Dave Brock have been friends for years, having busked together at the start of their careers. Brock had previously hinted at the collaboration’s possibility when speaking to Uncut, saying “Clapton in Hawkwind? There’s still time…”

Hawkwind wrapped up their 50th Anniversary tour on Tuesday (26 November) at the Royal Albert Hall.
