John 5 and Joe Bonamassa teamed up for a stellar Jimi Hendrix jam at 1720 in Los Angeles last night.

John 5, who was performing in support of his latest solo effort, Invasion, had invited Joe B up on stage for a duet. The pair then delivered faithful renditions of Hendrix’s Foxy Lady and Spanish Castle Magic. Bonamassa was on vocal duty while the pair traded guitar licks on their respective axes – Bonamassa with his trusty Les Paul and John 5 with his dual-humbucker Telecaster.

Joe B uploaded an Instagram post of the pair hanging out post-concert. “Killer show on every level. It was an honour for me and a great hang!” said the blues maestro.

The 1720 concert was John 5’s first show since the release of Invasion. The guitarist will be onboard Megadeth’s Megacruise on 13 October, before embarking on the second leg of 2019’s Invasion Tour on 30 October in Michigan.
