US President Donald Trump has taken aim at Bon Jovi frontman Jon Bon Jovi, as well as other major musicians who have expressed support for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris’ campaign.

Speaking at a rally, the President criticised the guitarist and singer for Bon Jovi, as he had recently performed at a Biden rally. Trump told the crowd: “Jon Bon Jovi, every time I see him he kisses my ass. ‘Oh, oh Mr President.’”

It came after a rant against musicians Lady Gaga, Beyonce and Jay-Z, who have also expressed support for the Democratic campaign.

Speaking to Rolling Stone at the start of last month, Jon Bon Jovi criticised the President’s divisive approach to Democratic states, saying: “I am definitely not just entrenched in the Democratic beliefs. I would really vote for the best person. But honest to God, if you’re going to say, ‘I’m the president of America,’ that means all America.

“What hurts me the most now is when he says, ‘Those blue states, I don’t care about those Democratic governors and those Democratic mayors in those blue states.’”
