Australian psychedelic rock royalty and greenscreen enthusiasts King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard have released a new song, entitled Straws In The Wind, alongside an accompanying music video. Take a look above.

Like previous recent releases, the song sees the band return to the microtonality of their 2017 record Flying Microtonal Banana – thanks to specially modified guitars, with fretboards divided by 24 frets per octave rather than 12.

The release also comes shortly after the news of drummer Eric Moore’s departure – the first lineup change in the band’s history. He left to dedicate more time to the band’s label, Flightless, which he founded to distribute King Gizzard albums – but has since grown to include bands such as Tropical Fuck Storm, Stonefield and Amyl and the Sniffers.

In the band’s recently-established mailing list Gizzymail, they also confirmed that a studio album and possibly a live album are on the way for 2020.
