Watch: Liam Gallagher revisits his past in One Of Us video

Clip’s nostalgic direction stemmed from Peaky Blinders’ creators.

Liam Gallagher has released the video for One Of Us, a single off his forthcoming solo album, Why Me? Why Not. The black-and-white clip was overseen by two members of Peaky Blinders’ creative team: show creator Stephen Knight and season five director Anthony Byrne.

Set in a barren landscape, the video features Gallagher encountering himself at various stages of his life. He’s captured walking past childhood photographs before meeting kid and teenage versions of himself. The visual resonates with the themes of “family, friendship and a sense of belonging”, which Gallagher mentioned in a statement when One Of Us was first released.

Why Me? Why Not. arrives September 20 on Warner Records, but before that, fans can look forward to As It Was, a docu-film about Gallagher’s post-Oasis journey and resurgence as a solo artist.
