Bruce Springsteen‘s ongoing live download series has been added to again with a recording from his performance at New York’s Nassau Coliseum on 4 May 2009, alongside the E Street Band.

The first leg of his Working on a Dream tour, it features plenty of live rarities including The Wrestler, Kingdom Of Days, Rendezvous, and a cover of the 1967 Soul Survivors classic Expressway To Your Heart, which is the only time he’s played it live.

The Boss spoke about the connection between Long Island and his home state of New Jersey early on in the show, noting, “Many millions of years ago, New Jersey and Long Island were one continuous landmass, so we are glad to be here tonight with our lost brothers and sisters and the E Street Band has come here tonight to fulfil its solemn vow to rock the house!”

Bruce goes on to play classic LPs from his extensive back catalogue later in the tour, including Born To Run, Darkness On The Edge Of Town, The River and Greetings From Asbury Park. The tour also marked Springsteen’s final touring stint with saxophonist Clarence Clemons, who died in 2011.

Springsteen released his newest LP, Western Stars, last year, but failed to support it with a tour. He is reportedly working on a new record with producer Ron Aniello, and has promised fans there will be another tour once it’s completed.
