An all-star lineup of rock artists teamed up last Saturday (15 August) to perform for (De)Tour, a livestreamed charity event hosted by the Morrison Hotel Gallery and Rolling Live Studios in support of MusiCares and NIVA.

For a performance of the classic Beatles tune Come Together, Halestorm vocalist Lzzy Hale was joined by Linda Perry of 4 Non Blondes; Slash, Matt Sorum and Gilby Clarke of Guns N’ Roses fame; David Bowie pianist Mike Garson and Ozzy Osbourne bass player Blasko. Take a listen above.

Elsewhere in the stream, Hale and company tackled AC/DC’s It’s A Long Way To The Top (If You Wanna Rock ‘N‘ Roll) with Cheap Trick’s Robin Zander stepping in to help with vocal duties. Take a listen below:

Both performances came as part of an all-day virtual rock festival that also saw appearances and music from Bush’s Gavin Rossdale, The Pretty Reckless’ Taylor Momsen, Badflower, AWOLNATION, Ringo Starr, Steve Stevens, Darryl “DMC” McDaniels, Macy Gray, Sean Lennon, L7’s Donita Sparks and many more. Check out other highlights from (De)Tour on Rolling Live Studios’ official YouTube channel.

While in-person shows remain off the cards for most acts around the world due to COVID-19, more and more artists have been putting on livestreamed performances – many in a joint capacity, leading to some interesting collaborations. Earlier this month, a stacked roster of guitar heroes got together for an epic cover of Bohemian Rhapsody on Nuno Bettencourt’s AXS television special.
