Marcin Patrzalek has released an impressive cover of Led Zeppelin’s Kashmir that’s been making waves in the six-string community, earning praise from rockers the likes of Tom Morello, Vernon Reid and Paul Stanley.

Marcin (as he’s known professionally) is a percussive acoustic guitarist from Poland. He shared his cover of the classic Led Zeppelin tune on his social media accounts over the weekend (13 February) – watch it below:

A number of guitar stars have gushed over the performance and shared it on their social media channels. Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello tweeted: “Some people are just really talented. #HogwartsAxeslinger?”

KISS guitarist Paul Stanley and Living Colour’s Vernon Reid also shared the video, with the latter tweeting: “Jimmy Page ain’t seen THAT coming! Got DAYUM.”

Marcin rose to international fame in 2019 after his appearance on America’s Got Talent. Though he was eliminated in the semi-finals, the endeavour led him to sign an exclusive contract with Sony Masterworks. Under the Sony aegis, he released two singles: Moonlight Sonata and Snow Monkey.

Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the 20-year-old guitarist amassed yet more fans posting videos onto online platforms such as YouTube, Instagram and TikTok. Last month, the guitarist shared a mash up of Queen’s Innuendo and the classic Spanish composition Asturias. Watch it below:
