Like many other musicians, blues prodigy Marcus King has had his live-music plans for 2020 dashed against the rocks. Until he can tour again, King has shared a home-recorded performance of a couple of his songs.
The performance is part of Rolling Stone’s In My Room series of sessions, one of the many series of acoustic performances from artists big and small that have arisen in these strange times, where gigging is no longer viable for the foreseeable future.
Watch King’s performance below, where he gives acoustic renditions of Rita Is Gone and Wildflowers & Wine.
Rolling Stone also urged viewers to donate to the Sweet Relief Musicians Fund, which has been set up to support those hit hard by the pandemic.
