Mateus Asato joins Brazilian metal legends Oficina G3 on livestreamed concert

Brazilian metal legends Oficina G3 have shared brand new clips from their recent livestreamed concert with guitar virtuoso Mateus Asato.

The collaboration between Asato and Oficina G3 was first teased over Instagram earlier this month (20 August), where fans speculated either an album or live performances to be in the works. A two-hour performance premiered on Oficina G3’s official YouTube channel on 29 August.

Now, the band have shared two songs from the concert have now been shared to Oficina G3’s official YouTube channel, Ele Vive (below) and Até Quando (above). Take a look below.

Both songs were taken from Oficina G3’s discography; Ele Vive originally appeared on the 2000 album O Tempo, while Até Quando first appeared on the 2002 album Humanos.

The band’s work was an influence on Asato from early in his playing. The guitar virtuoso took to Instagram earlier today (31 August) to share a clip of the recent performance, as well as to share a caption where he thanked both the band and god for the opportunity to finally work together.

Mateus Asato will be one of the guests appearing on Guitar.com Live, our upcoming virtual guitar show set to take place across 2-4 October. The lineup of guests artists also include the likes of Joe Bonamassa, Daniel Donato and Ariel Posen.

Along with this, the event has also seen the addition of Fender and Harmony Guitars, alongside founding partner brands Taylor Guitars, PRS, Ernie Ball and Mono.
