Extreme metal titans Meshuggah have announced a winter tour of the UK and Europe, as well as a one-off show at the Albert Hall in summer 2022.

The band, who released their latest album in The Violent Sleep of Reason in 2016, will start their UK tour with a show on 5 December in Bristol and end it four days later in Nottingham. On 3 June, 2022, the band will play London’s Royal Albert Hall.

The announcement follows the news that Meshuggah will release a new studio record in 2021. Back in October, drummer Tomas Haake said: “I think we have most of the material for the new album. It takes a long time for us between each album, and this time, due to COVID as well, it’s gonna be longer than usual, I think. Right now, we’re aiming at a release in late ’21.”

Zeal & Ardor will be supporting across the UK tour, but not at the Albert Hall show. View the full list of dates below.

December 2021

5 – Bristol, O2 Academy
6 – Glasgow, Barrowlands
8 – Manchester Academy
9 – Nottingham, Rock City

June 2022
