Coronavirus: Metallica launch Metallica Mondays, will stream classic concerts in full weekly

The first comes from a 2019 concert at Slane Castle, Meath, Ireland

Metallica has launched a new weekly concert series titled Metallica Mondays.

The band plan to stream an entire concert each Monday. They began with a film of their 2019 performance at Slane Castle, Meath, Ireland – take a look above.

Metallica said: “Need to take a break from Netflix before you binge-watch the entire library? Introducing our brand new concert series #MetallicaMondays.”

The upcoming streams will take place on both the band’s YouTube and Facebook pages. Metallica join many other bands streaming concerts old and new as musicians and fans alike are stuck inside due to the current coronavirus pandemic. Take a look at our rundown of live streams here.

It follows the recent announcement that their spring appearances at US festivals have all been cancelled, and their South American tour with Greta Van Fleet postponed.
