Metallica have shared a recent performance of The Outlaw Torn on their official YouTube channel. The performance, which took place at Mannheim, Germany on August 25, is Metallica’s first live rendition of the Load track since 2011.

The track was prefaced by an atmospheric build-up of distorted guitars before the group dived in proper. Kirk Hammett also threw in a solo mid-song, using a guitar slide to create a squelching effect.

The Mannheim gig wrapped up the European leg of Metallica’s WorldWired tour. Up next for the metal icons are two September dates in San Francisco before they head down to Australia and New Zealand.
