Miley Cyrus has shared her take on Pearl Jam‘s Just Breathe, covering the tune in a special ‘Backyard’ edition of MTV Unplugged.

Cyrus’ masked backing band, The Social Distancers, joined her in the performance, which earned the thumbs up from Pearl Jam themselves.

The performance is the latest in a string of rock covers from Cyrus this year; she’s shown off her rock chops in performances of Blondie’s Heart Of Glass, the Beatles’ Help and The Cranberries’ Zombies.

Back in February, the 27-year-old singer joined Doors’ guitarist Robby Krieger onstage to perform Roadhouse Blues in celebration of Morrison Hotel’s 50th anniversary.

A few days ago (19 October), Cyrus revealed that she’s been working on an album of Metallica covers, and opened up on the influence that rock artists like Iggy Pop and Flaming Lips frontman Wayne Coyne have had on her.

“I have such a healthy and sexy relationship with recklessness right now,” she told Interview Magazine. “It would take something really fucking crazy for me to say no.”

“Wayne [Coyne] really opened that door for me, because I was on the Bangerz tour at that time, where I was travelling the world. Your levels of fulfilment and depression are so drastic, because you’ve got that two hours where you’re fully captivated and reaching your fullest potential, and then when you come down from it, it’s so hard. Having him and having that psychedelic music changed everything for me.”
