MTV Unplugged has announced that it will be live-streaming a new series of home concerts, entitled Unplugged at Home.

In a statement about the show, MTV Unplugged says that the new show is a “reimagining of the beloved music series as a multi-platform digital experience,” and “will feature stripped-down, acoustic sets from artists performing their greatest hits, enabling music enthusiasts to find comfort in their new realities alongside fellow fans. In addition to the roster of global artists, MTV’s international channels will feature performances by local acts in their respective countries around the world.”

First to perform was Alessia Cara. Take a look at her episode below.

Performances from Shaggy, Jewel, Melissa Etheridge, Monsta X, Bazzi, CNCO and Finneas are also scheduled, available to stream via MTV’s YouTube, Instagram and Twitter accounts.

The series joins those such as Gibson’s Home Made Music, Martin Guitars’ Jam in place and NPR Tiny Desk Home Concerts, as musicians and fans alike find themselves stuck indoors due to social isolation measures.
