To celebrate the 20th anniversary of their debut LP Showbiz, Muse have announced a box set, Origin Of Muse. The collection, comprising nine CDs and four LPs, features the band’s first two albums, early EPs, demos, live recordings and selected B-sides – all enclosed in a 48-page casebound tome.

Among the four LPs are remastered editions of 1999’s Showbiz and 2001’s Origin Of Symmetry. Other goodies include previously unreleased demos – from Newton Abbot and Origin Of Symmetry – as well as footage of the band’s iconic performance at the 2011 Reading Festival, where they performed Origin Of Symmetry in its entirety.

In addition to the music, you’ll find an in-depth interview with Matt Bellamy, Dominic Howard and Chris Wolstenholme on Muse’s early years. Completing the box set are original posters, setlists, photographs and contact sheets from the band’s formative period. The set arrives on 6 December, but pre-orders are now available at €139.99.
