Neil Young has announced and detailed the much anticipated The Archives Vol. II: 1972-1976, due out 20 November through Neil Young Archives. The comprehensive box set is the follow up to The Archives Vol. 1: 1963-1972, which was released back in 2009.

Archives Vol. II will span 10 discs, and include unreleased music, live recordings and alternate versions of songs from Young’s vast repertoire. The box set centers around Young’s career just after the release of Harvest.

The 12 brand new tracks include a cover of Joni Mitchell’s Raised On Robbery, as well as tunes such as Goodbye Christmas On The Shore, Frozen Man and Born To Run.

One of the discs also houses Odeon Budokan, a live album which collects recordings from the Tokyo Budokan and London’s Hammersmith Odeon from back in 1976.

Young’s recently released Homegrown – taped between 1972’s Harvest and 1978’s Comes A Time – will also be included in its entirety on the box set.

Meanwhile, Young’s most recent release, The Times, began streaming on Amazon Music HD exclusively on 18 September. The six-track EP included songs such as Alabama and Campaigner, as well as a cover of Bob Dylan’s The Times They Are A-Changin and an updated-for-2020 version of Lookin’ for a Leader, originally from Young’s 2016 album Living With War.
