Guitarist Nils Lofgren, known for his work in Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band and in Crazy Horse, has announced a new live record, entitled Weathered. Take a listen to the first single from the album, Too Many Miles, above.

Weathered was recorded on the road during select tour dates across the US, as Lofgren was supporting his studio LP Blue With Lou, which featured five previously unheard songs co-written by Lou Reed and Lofgren.

“My dear friends who made that album all agreed to come. Andy Newmark, Kevin McCormick, Cindy Mizelle, and my brother Tom Lofgren joining us to form an amazing band,” said Nils of the release. “In preparation for the tour, my wonderful wife Amy hosted us all in our home and garage studio to put the show together. Amy designed our merchandise, cooked beautiful food for us and created a safe, welcoming musical environment for all. We created the show’s foundation to work from and headed out to share this fresh, new band.”

Lofgren’s entire studio band joined him for the tour, consisting of Andy Newmark on drums, Kevin McCormick on bass and vocals, Cindy Mizelle on vocals and Tom Lofgren on guitars, keyboards and vocals.

The 16-track compilation album will release on Lofgren’s own label, Cattle Track Road Records, and was produced by Lofgren alongside his wife Amy. and is due out on August 21, 2020.
