Noel Gallagher has praised his brother Liam for having a more successful solo career than him, noting that of the ex-Oasis pair, he sells more albums and does larger gigs.

Speaking to Chris Evans (the British radio host) on his How To Wow podcast, Gallagher stated that: “[Liam] is doing massive gigs, he’s selling more records than I am and he’s selling more tickets than I am, if you can believe that.”

Liam Gallagher recently headlined Reading And Leeds festival, performing to tens of thousands of fans. “So he’s doing his thing and I’m doing mine and we’re both pretty happy doing that at the moment,” Noel stated. “Liam’s doing his thing, he’s responsible for the legacy being what it is, he’s keeping the flame alive and all that. And good for him.”

The pair have famously feuded over the legacy of Oasis and each other’s solo careers. For instance, in 2020 Liam Gallagher claimed that Noel turned down an offer of £100 million to reunite Oasis, jabbing on Twitter: “Wahey we’re getting back together Noel Gallagher being minted and rich as fuck he’s doing it for nothing me being a desperate cunt and have fuck all else going for himself I’m doing it for the cash c’mon you know LG x.”

Liam then claimed the pair had “been offered 100 million pounds for a tour” but was “still not enough for the greedy soul”.

Noel then rebuked these claims, writing on Twitter: “To whoever might be arsed: I am not aware of any offer from anybody for any amount of money to reform the legendary Mancunian Rock’n’Roll group Oasis.

“I am fully aware though that someone has a single to promote so that’s maybe where the confusion lies.”
