Interpol’s Paul Banks has debuted a new band, Muzz.

The trio features Josh Kaufman, a multi-instrumentalist, member of the folk group Bonny Light Horseman, as well as Matt Barrick, drummer of the Walkmen, Jonathan Fire*Eater and Fleet Foxes’ touring band.

The band has launched with two singles: Broken Tambourine, and the perhaps far-too-relevantly-titled Bad Feeling.

Take a look at the video for Broken Tambourine below:

This particular collaboration comes as no surprise – Banks and Kaufman have known each other since they were teenagers, and moved to New York at the same time, while Barrick played drums for Banks’ side project with RZA.

The band also teased more music to come, noting that this pair of tracks are only an “early glimpse” at their sound.

The release follows Interpol’s latest album, Marauder, which came out in 2018.
