Pearl Jam aired a remotely filmed, live performance of Dance Of The Clairvoyants during the All In WA virtual benefit gig yesterday (24 June). This marks the first time that the band has performed material from their latest album, Gigaton in a live setting.

The performance consisted of footage shot from the individual homes of each member, with Josh Klinghoffer, former Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist, joining the band as well. Take a listen above.

The All In WA benefit was a live-streamed event, set up to raise COVID-19 relief funds for Washington state. Other Washingtonian acts that took part in the show included indie-rockers Sleater-Kinney, Sir Mix-A-Lot and Ben Gibbard of Death Cab For Cutie.

Pearl Jam was to embark on an international tour in support of Gigaton this March, with Klinghoffer providing tour support. However, like most concerts, festivals and tours, those plans were postponed to 2021 due to COVID-19.

Earlier this month, Pearl Jam released the uncut edition of the music video for Jeremy, coinciding with this year’s National Gun Violence Awareness Day (5 June).

The song, which appeared on the band’s celebrated album, Ten, was originally written by frontman Eddie Vedder, who was inspired by a newspaper article about Jeremy Wade Delle, a high school student who shot himself in front of his English class on January 8, 1991.
